End of October Collegiate 4-H Volunteers at Indiana University Meeting Minutes

Option 1: 10/30/11 7PM Mother Bear's Pizza
Laura got there early to get us a table since Mother Bear's doesn't take call ins.
We began the night at Mother Bear's where we had a short meeting.
There were a few haunted IU locations that came up in conversation.
We walked to the IMU to look for a haunted house to go to, but were unsuccessful. We went geocaching at Griffy Woods, but did not find the cache.

Option 2: 10/31/11 9PM Woodburn Hall Room 119
There were very few costumes, but we had plenty of candy.

  Brady & Kate led this event. 5 people attended. It was a lot of fun. We went out to Buffa Louie’s after the event.
  Glow Parade

  We walked and gave out candy. It was a lot of fun. 4-H has a lot of fans.
  (3-4 people helped make posters. 5 people walked in the parade.)
  Tailgating
  Started out rough, but it worked out.
  Game
  We lost pretty bad. It was fun though.
  







• Upcoming Meeting Dates
  *Sunday, November, 13- 7pm or Monday, November 14- 9pm (Nominations for Officer Team, sign up for holiday service projects)

• Elections: Don't forget that you need to participate in at least 2 meetings and 2 non-meeting activities in order to vote or run for a position.

  Emma & Erin will co-chair this committee.
  4-H Youth Development Committee
  Gary wants to join this committee.
  This committee will be meeting on Thursday at 7PM in Woodburn 202 if anyone would like to join us.
  We are awaiting a response from the Mini 4-H clubs about helping out at their meetings.
  We will be pretty busy from February through April.
  Pass around the sheet that says what they can volunteer for (add the new events to another sheet & X out the events we’re definitely not doing.)

  We handed out the business cards attached to suckers during the parade.
  History/Website Committee
  Take a few group photos tonight!
  10/30: We took pics on Ty’s and Kate’s phones and posted them to FaceBook.
  10/31: Jackie’s boyfriend took pictures for us and will e-mail them to our e-mail account and they will go on FaceBook.
  Relay For Life Committee
  This committee has dissolved and needs to be rebuilt.
  Brady, Laura, Kate, and Monique will be on the committee. (Please reply to this e-mail if you’re interested in helping. Please specify if you’d like to be chair, a committee member, or if you’d just like to walk in Relay.)
  We need a chair to sign our team up by Thanksgiving and go to monthly meetings. The date for the Relay for Life walk is April 14th through the morning of the 15th.
  Olivia, Jackie, Emma, and Shane signed up to walk in Relay For Life.
  Start asking for donations around Thanksgiving. We will hopefully have a team page soon.
  Fundraising Committee
  Work at the VFW to potentially get ($2,500). We need the money to reimburse the club after the conference.
  Nathan is looking into our club selling hot dogs. (We could potentially make a lot of money off that too.)
  







• The National Collegiate 4-H Conference will take place during Relay for Life.
  Jackie needs us to give her information for her to pass on to the advisor she found us.
