Fundraising Committee Report

The fundraising committee met last Thursday and came up with the following list as potential fundraising activities: Membership dues, coupon books, asking local farms for donations, cleaning the Extension Office for money, restaurant promotions (like Coldstone Creamery, Pizza Hut, Bucceto's, etc), writing letters to local businesses, and the Indiana 4-H Foundation. The Building Leaders for the 21st Century Grant Application was found on the Indiana 4-H Foundation website and the club may consider applying for it.
First we need a IU faculty or staff member as our advisor, so we can establish a bank account through IU.

Boys and Girls Club

We will be visiting the Boys and Girls Club once a month on a Friday afternoon to play with the kids (ages 7-12) and run a program for about an hour The committee met last Thursday and came up with the following as potential activities for club members to do with the Boys and Girls Club members: icebreakers & teambuilding activities (Orange Game, Balloon Game, telephone, human pretzel), 4-H demonstration, work with foods, show poster 4-H projects like giftwrapping, and making and explaining the 4-H clover as a craft project! We would like to bring 4-H brochures, flyers or tri-folds and maybe 4-H stickers if possible. We would also like to request that we are in a room that has chairs for 40 and a dodge ball from the Boys and Girls Club.
