IU Collegiate 4-H Meeting Minutes
August 29, 2007
School of Education Room 1225
8-9:30pm

We discussed the following:

1. Student Involvement Fair-Wednesday September 5th
a. Livy and Lisa will coordinate display board
b. Livy will help update flyers
c. Ellen will bring a clipboard
d. Katie and Lindie will donate candy
e. Please wear 4-H shirts
2. Please consider IU Week
a. Ideas, suggestions on how the club can get involved
3. During callout meeting a jar will be passed around to collect money for Monroe County 4-Her injured during the fair.
4. Ellen will flyer at Ballantine, IMU; Alicia will check at HPER
a. Chalking party-Ellen, Livy, Alicia, Sabrina, Kara—Sunday evening 7pm, Main Library
5. Officer Training-Area 1
a. 2 options-Oct 21st-29th or Nov. 8th-15th
b. Waiting on response, ask for gas and donation?
6. College Prep Day
a. Need approval from Jeff
b. Nov 10th, tentatively 10-2pm
7. Representing IU C4H
a. Jess is talking with Jeff
b. Dates of meetings on website, will be updated
c. Need relationship with Junior Leaders
8. Student Organization Meting
a. All officers should attend
b. Tuesday September 11, 2007-7:30pm
c. Jess will let you know the location
9. Volunteer Appreciation Fair-September 25th 11am-2pm, Alumni Hall
10. Volunteer Appreciation Bloomington Multicultural Fair-October 1st
11. IU Emerging Leaders-October 6-7th
a. No times yet
12. National 4-H Week-October 7-13th
a. Day of Service is the 13th-Sycamore Land Trust Opportunity
13. Celebrate IU Week-October 13th-20th
a. Involvement ideas would be appreciated
14. National FFA Convention-Indianapolis, Indiana
a. Possible volunteer opportunity
b. October 24th-27th
15. Regional Collegiate 4-H Conference—November 2-4th
a. Registration information will be sent out later
16. Possible volunteer events:
a. Run for a Cure
b. Boys and Girls Club
c. PALS
17. Livy needs ideas for volunteer opportunities and will provide sign up sheets
18. Agendas will be sent out Monday by 12(noon)
19. Alicia and Kara will do icebreakers for callout meeting and will bring sign up sheets to meeting for social events
20. Member forms will be divided up among officers and merged
21. Hand out newsletter at September 5th meeting
22. Current members please arrive at 7:40pm for callout meeting
